CFA: Postdoctoral Fellowship in History and Cornerstone

The Department of History at Purdue University, West Lafayette campus, invites applications for a one-year renewable Postdoctoral Fellowship in History (August 17, 2020 - May 16, 2021).  We seek a historian of exceptional promise who will contribute to the excellence of our department and the College’s Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts program.  Candidates working in any area of history are encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will contribute intellectually to the department and the College by collaborating with faculty to conduct research, while teaching four courses during the 2020-2021 Academic Year including three in Cornerstone (SCLA 101 or 102) and one in the Department of History. They will also work closely with a faculty mentor on an appropriate plan of research and professional development. The current postdoctoral award is a one academic year 9-month residential fellowship, renewable for a second year.  The award includes a salary of $50,000, full Purdue University employee benefits, a research/travel fund of $2,000, and a $2,000 moving allowance. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have received their Ph.D. between September 1, 2016 and May 31, 2020.
