In-Person + Online

Our model seeks to transcend physical boundaries by offering a platform to extend in-person conference content online while ensuring online-only delegates are afforded participatory and experiential spaces within the platform. At the same time, the model offers participants a legacy resource to which they can return in the CGScholar Event microsite, with access to a social space in our Community application where fellow participants can keep connected long after the conference ends.

With this step-by-step guide, you can get an insight into the new phases pre/during/post-conference of the conference experience.

Social Events

Oxford Walking Tour: University and City

Call for Applications! UNIVIE: Summer School - International and European Studies 2023 of the Sommerhochschule of the University of Vienna

UNIVIE: Summer School - International and European Studies 2023 of the Sommerhochschule  of the University of Vienna

We would like to introduce you to the univie: summer school – International and European studies 2023 of the Sommerhochschule of the University of Vienna.

The univie: summer school will take place from July 15 to August 12, 2023. The four week program offers high-level European studies courses, the Austrian Arbitration Academy, and German language courses.

The European studies courses are held in English and focus on Europe and the European Union. They cover political, economic, and legal transformations, and also historical and cultural aspects of the multiple transitions the continent is currently undergoing. The Austrian Arbitration Academy is designed for students of law and focuses on international dispute settlement by arbitral tribunals.

We believe the courses offered at the Sommerhochschule would complement your university’s academic offerings. Given the intercultural and interdisciplinary aspect of the summer school, our program is of interest to students from all fields of study, but certainly of special interest to students who concentrate on Europe or study one of the following fields: Austrian Studies, European Studies, Political Science, Law (Arbitration Law, International Law, European Law, Comparative Law), Economics, History, Cultural Studies, International Relations, Interdisciplinary Studies, and/or German.

Students from all over the world have been drawn to the program. The Sommerhochschule has an outstanding academic reputation and offers an excellent opportunity to study German. The campus is located directly on the shore of Lake Wolfgang, one of Austria's most popular lakes in the picturesque Salzkammergut region.

The campus life creates an environment which encourages intercultural and social exchange and favours mutual understanding within the international student population. Participants thus broaden their horizons, meet colleagues from different fields of study, and build connections for their future professional careers.

Attached you will find a PDF-version of the brochure and the application form for summer 2023. We would appreciate it if you could forward this information to interested students.

More information about the Sommerhochschule can be found at: http://shs.univie.ac.at.

If you have any questions please contact the Program Coordinators via email at: sommerhochschule@univie.ac.at. It would be a pleasure to be of assistance.

Sincerely,

the SHS team
