High-level Conference on The Impact of War (in Ukraine) on the EU
27-28 March 2023 | College of Europe, Bruges campus, Verversdijk 16
The European Legal Studies Department is holding its annual conference on the topic “The Impact of War (in Ukraine) on the EU” in Bruges on 27 and 28 March 2023.
The war in Ukraine is having a profound and wide-ranging political and legal impact on the European Union, both in external and internal terms. This conference will analyze - from a legal perspective, while taking due account of the political dimension - the effects that the war has already had in shaping and changing EU law and policy, and will reflect on what developments can be expected in the near, medium-term and longer-term future for the process of European integration in general (institutional, constitutional) terms, and for specific policy areas (such as energy, trade and ENP policy).
This is an in person event only; prior registration is required by 21 March 2023 8:00 a.m. The registration fee is 50,00€ for all external participants (includes sandwich lunch), except for students and PhD researchers (attendance free upon prior registration).
